“What a nice find...in the middle of nowhere!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 24, 2012 via mobile

Enjoyed a meal at this quaint, rather authentic "stuble" just off I-81. Having lived in Germany for 9 years, my appetite was satisfied by ample portions of Schnitzel, Spatzle, and assorted sides. All was tasty and nicely served by the efficient staff.

Note: closed on Mondays, but otherwise open for both lunch and dinner.

“How do you spell 'Ptomaine"”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed August 31, 2012

Ate there. Serious food poisioning. Was in bed for 2 days. Missed work. Never returned.

I don't have a vendetta against this restaurant. Just warning people to be careful.

“Great place to stop”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 29, 2012

Stopped here for dinner in the middle of a two day drive. Cute place, just a couple minutes off the interstate but very quiet and secluded feeling. Food was quite good and the prices were certainly not out of line. I left full, relaxed and very satisfied with the service and the place in general. A Terrific way to avoid yet another fast food meal on the road!

“A long drive for average German food”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed August 27, 2012

Large generous portions of average German food served by a friendly staff. Very loud and annoying accordion music in crowded dining room.

“Very Hearty German Fare”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed August 24, 2012

Portions were very large, but nothing about the food was outstanding. Side dishes are served family style and were nothing to write home about - two kinds of cabbage, stringy green beans, and overcooked spaetzel. We ordered a side of dumplings and they were nice though the sauerbraten gravy they were drowned in didn't seem necessary. The Goulash was very tender (and generous) but not particularly well seasoned. They have a large selection of beers and very nice service. Okay if you love German food and want to get really filled up.
