This is my fourth visit to Black Friar Theatre. Each visit different from the other. "Return to the Forbidden Planet", loosely based on The Tempest was one of those "aching cheek" events. If we weren't smiling broadly with appreciation for the wit, we were laughing. The talent!!! Not only did these Thespians occasionally break into some original text with ease, they would then sing, dance ( maybe with roller skates) or pull out guitars, banjos, brass instruments etc. and present 50-60's songs (occasionally with almost original lyrics) to fit neatly into the scheme.
