The country inn is pretty basic, kinda out of date, from the dried up wreath over the bed to the flower printed wallpaper. I get that they are going for a country feel, but I just wasn't into it. No room service, very few amenities. No wake up calls! I called the front desk on the first night and no one answered, I hit the wake-up call button on my phone, let it ring a while...still no answer! I had the unfortunate experience of dropping my cell phone behind the bed, and to find it I had to move the mattress, the bed skirt was torn, the frame was broken and there was an old tissue under there.. gross. Oh yeah and huge spider was waiting for me in the bathroom one morning and the towels were kind of old. I really wanted to leave but they charge $25 dollars a night if you cancel at the last minute, another reason I was unhappy. I saw so many other nice places in the area, if I had only known.

It is a nice place for a short stay. Clean and quiet. It is lacking amenities if you are a business traveller and need access to the internet or a printer but provides internet access in the rooms.

Front desk employees pleasant and helpful...room very clean. There is no elevator in hotel, so if you require an elevator look elsewhere; however, this was not a problem for me or my family and would not prevent me from staying at this hotel again...I will definitely stay there again when I am in the area.

Spent one night here to prolong our stay in Washington, D.C. area. We picked this location because of its proximity to Potomac Mills outlet shopping and reasonable price because it is about 30-45 minutes from D.C. area's higher priced hotels. We arrived about 9:00 p.m. after a day of sightseeing/shopping, so we didn't end up having to spend much time at this hotel.

Inn is located in a busy retail area with lots of restaurants and shops just off I-95. This particular hotel, however, does not have the feel of a Country Inn & Suites, it is more like a Super-8 or other bargain basement chain. The front desk was friendly and helpful enough, but it didn't make up for the dingy cheap feel of the common areas and our hotel room. The hotel also had a strange moldy/smoky odor even on our nonsmoking floor/room. The included breakfast had the fewest offerings I have ever seen at a Country Inn & Suites location-- just cold cereal and bread/pastries.

Would not stay here again-- the funny thing is that we paid $2.00 more to stay at this Country Inn than we paid at the brand-new Courtyard Dunn Loring that was adjacent to the Metro into D.C. and a fabulous hotel experience. (Didn't stay there an additional night because the rates skyrocketed for a weekday rate, but their weekend rates were amazingly cheap!) I've heard that some Country Inns were formerly other chain motels and therefore not up to typical Country Inn standards-- I think the Stafford location is definitely one of those instances. For the $80 rate I received, I think there are probably better options in the Stafford area. It wasn't terrible, but it wasn't what I was expecting either...
