Had a great trip. We stayed one night in the lavendar room. We were able to leave the windows open and had a wonderful breeze blow through the room. We woke up to the birds singing and the smell of bacon and pancakes wafting through the house. Wish I was back there now! Close to the Inn at Little Washington!

From the warm welcome, to the beautifully appointed room, to the scrumptious gourmet breakfasts, our expectations were exceeded at every turn. My husband and I had never been to Sperryville, but we will certainly return to Hopkins Ordinary. Kevin, the proprietor, played Scrabble with me, at my request, and he was a most formidable opponent. He almost won! I miss the amazing breakfasts and warm hospitality and that incredible porch . We look forward to returning. Fondly, a visitor from Richmond.

This was a wonderful bed and Breakfast. We spent 2 nights in a wheelchair accommodated room. Everything was spotless, food was wonderful, fresh and tasty. Other guests were friendly and interesting. Recommendations for our weekend were spot on and made the weekend very pleasurable. Innkeepers are very knowledgeable and professional, lovely flower and vegetable garden, which also decorated our place settings one morning. A special experience, esp considering one night's dinner was at the very close Inn at Little Washington, our primary reason for the Band B.

My boyfriend and I stayed at the Hopkins Ordinary for a weekend getaway. We were delighted at the old style but modern touches of the rooms. The room was spacious and clean. The bathroom was also very clean and more spacious than I had expected. We also had a portion of the second floor porch with a table, two chairs, and two rockers. This was the perfect place to unwind when we arrived on Friday. We also opted for the wine and cheese upon arrival and were pleased with the selections that Kevin made for both the wine and the cheese. Kevin and Sherri also whipped up some of the best breakfasts. Be sure to ask them what farmer's market to hit and other places around town - we got great recommendations all weekend.

The Hopkins Ordinary B&B is anything but ordinary. As one visitor commented at breakfast, they need to add the word "extra" to their name, as everything was extraordinary. Kevin and Sherri are the perfect hosts and the inn is immaculate. They greeted us by name upon arrival, cooked a fabulous breakfast that included homemade gluten free lemon blueberry waffles for me since I'm on a gluten free diet. They were delicious, and a treat I'm just not used to getting while traveling! There is also a gluten free bakery - Triple Oak Bakery - in the town and Sherri was nice enough to call the owner to help me arrange a time to stop by. When we asked Kevin to recommend a good cycling route, he mapped out a 30 mi route that took us along rural rolling hills past spectacular scenery - it was just what we were hoping for! In addition, since nobody was checking into our room that night, they were flexible with the checkout time so that we could get back after the ride and get a shower before heading home, which was definitely appreciated. Overall it was a great experience and we will be back again!

Kevin and Sherri are to die for. This couple was more than eager to serve, making reservations, recommendations, and connecting us with a great photographer who did a family shoot for us.
Sherri, made the best muffins for my son and me to go hiking early in the morning, and then made a full breakfast for my wife and 3 year old back at the cottage. We stayed with them four nights and each morning the food was excellent and filled with love. Plain and simple these folks can cook.
The B and B was a time travel experience back to the colonial days. While every detail seemed to be from a time long ago, the cleanliness was impeccable.
I recommend this couple and their wonderful accommodations without any hesitations. Thank you both very much for taking such good care of us.
