We stumbled upon this place when it was too foggy on Skyline Drive and we went adventuring. We found it after crossing a one lane bridge and walking behind an antique shop...and there it was. You have to knock on a huge wooden door (or ring the bell) to be let in. I was pretty apprehensive...this is really the boonies and I was listening for banjos. But, it was awesome. It is clearly a craft distillery...small, but very cool. The tour was awesome. They throw the grain on the floor to start the germination...who does that? We toured the rest of the "plant', and it was basically the same as the Jack Daniels distillery, only smaller, more unique, and more family run. This place was a blast. When we were there they said they did not have a license for tasting, so the review that said the tasting was "generous" is interesting.
We bought a bottle and a souvenir glass. Cool place. Worth a trip.
