Owner description: This is where your new favorite whisky comes from! At Copper Fox Distillery we dedicate ourselves to making great American spirits by emphasizing a combination of innovation and tradition. We start from scratch, floor malting our locally grown barley, flavoring the grain with apple and cherry wood smoke, then aging with a progressive series of hand toasted wood chips in used bourbon barrels. All of our fine spirits are available for tasting and purchase at the distillery. We look forward to seeing you.

“Interesting and fun road trip stop!”
Reviewed May 31, 2013

Just happened to be driving thru town, saw the sign, and turned back to check it out. Definitely worth the stop. Learned all about making whiskey--fascinating. Alexander Sharp VIII gave us a fabulous tour. Loved the local town craft touch. Good luck to you and looking forward to the Gin!

“Great Tour, Fantastic Whiskey”
Reviewed May 31, 2013

Very nice and informative tour of the distillery. Everyone was very friendly, inlcuding the dog and two cats. Upon arriving home a great deal of "sampling" was done of the whiskey purchased, it was like heaven in a glass. If you like whiskey this is a must see.

“Great Distillery Experience”
Reviewed May 20, 2013

I learned so much about whisky. The tour explained the malting process, and how the malt is smoked. Then they take you to the mash room and you can smell the fermenting grains. The distillation is the last step before the spirit goes into barrels, and then you get to smell the spirit before it goes into bottle. Unfortunately they can't let you taste there, but I bought a bottle and it was quite good. I'm a believer!

“A fun place to learn about whiskey!”
Reviewed May 18, 2013

We really enjoyed touring the distillery and learning how they practice their craft. They are beginning to expand rapidly but are still trying to keep their local touch. Very nice people. You can purchase your own keg to age your whiskey at home. Very fun!

“Distiller of old-fashioned single malt and Rye whiskey in the old tradition hands on style”
Reviewed May 13, 2013

I've been to many distilleries over the years and this is one of the coolest ones! These guys still do it the old fashion way "hands on". The owner's nephew met us in his work clothes and stopping what he was doing to give us a guided tour. Smallbatch handcrafted Rye and single malt whiskey although we were unable to taste it we were able purchase some. After sampling both types at a rehearsal dinner, many people went back and purchased some to take home.
