The tavern was a great place to stop in for a Friday night. Our waitress was awesome and very attentive. She had a great personality that made you feel at home and the food was very good. Had the Crab Dip appetizer and the waitress was awesome in finding something other than pita chips for me (after hearing me just mention it aloud if there were other items to substitute). Also, had the fried shrimp and crab cakes which were all very good. Definitely part of a great quick trip to Smithfield!

Great place to have a luncheon with the ladies. Food is pretty good, but the atmosphere is what is the highlight.

My boyfriend and I had dinner in the garden. The whole experience was wonderful.I ordered the lobster mac n cheese, it was amazing. My boyfriend order one of the specials that evening, surf n turf...ribeye and crab cake, both were very good, crab cake was the best we've ever had. For dessert we ordered peach cobbler w/a scoop of vanilla ice cream on top, that too was delicious. We will definatley be going back again.

After a long day of touring...we elected to try the Smithfield Inn. The reviews said that the Fish and Chips were Great! They were!. Good cold beer...a Very busy Bartender/Waitperson! The service was very good as the food! I'd go back!

We live in Smithfield and go there for lunch often. The food is great and the prices aren't bad for this upscale relaxing colonial inn. You can eat in the bar area or the choice of 2 dining rooms. There is also a special dining room for private parties. Upstairs are several very nice suites. The front porch has rockers and is on main street in this historical small town. There is a garden with a white tent for special parties on the side. Food is excellent from their burgers to she crab soup. Dinners are great too. highly recommend.
