You will love the trails. It is absolutely beautiful and very peaceful. You will see others on the trails but it is not crowded. My dog loves walking with me. Enjoy!!!

A great place for a simple stroll or a good work out! So glad it is available for all locals and visitors.

I have taken my pup here on a few occasions and thoroughly enjoyed the peaceful R AND R time this park has to offer. There is a park fenced in with a bench and water spout for small dogs as well as a fenced in area separately for big dogs with same to offer. You will need a code to actually enter the locked gates which is issued through IOW county once your dog is registered. The actual walking trail is approximately 4 miles with moon dust gravel for a clean and level walk/run. Along the trail you will find beautiful trees, benches to rest if needed that overlook the river, and maps to help guide you throughout the route. Also, a bike trail is offered in this park as well. Windsor Castle is located only a couple of blocks from the quaint downtown of Smithfield. We enjoy visiting this park quite often and recommend to families who are just looking to get out and enjoy the day at no cost.

The Windsor Castle Park has an easy scenic trail of about 4 miles, easy walking access to Historic Smithfield, views of the Pagan River, ample parking, overall wonderful spot for a nice walk. The park also has a dog park and another small parking area adjacent to a perfect kayak/canoe launch. It's the type where you sit in your kayak on rollers and launch yourself gently in or out of the river.....couldn't be better. The trail appears to get plenty of use by families, dog walkers, trail runners, people out for a nice stroll. Lots of signs with trail maps but trail is basically a couple of loops so if you keep walking you'll end up where you started. If you are in the area, stop in for an enjoyable walk or paddle.

Very lovely and large park with a crushed gravel path for runners and walkers that is 3 miles around. A "to be renovated" farm house with many cotton fields in the middle of the park.
