Smokehouse just opened in December 2013. We had left Charlottesville Va heading to Durham on Rt 15. Lunchtime struck as we passed thru Scottsville Va. And the place we found open blew us away. We could sit outside, the chef took a break and described how he made our cuisine, we had our first Virginia wine. Sensory overload. Smoked crabmeat in the crab cakes, smoke BBQ pork ribs, local greens and goat cheese from organic farms. And my soup of collard greens pureed with potato stock etc was most delicious. I hope enough people can discover Scottsville to keep chef Ryan Bruce in business for years to come. We want more!
