Food is average. Alot of it on each plate so you will not go hungry. Not as Irish as I would like. Perhaps the people in Roanoke are OK with what they offer.

“Good food but . . .”
Reviewed August 26, 2012

We've only dined at Annie Moore's twice, but both times the service was a bit lacking. The food is quite delicious and they certainly nail the Irish menu. The staff, however, could use either more training, more personality - or both. When you tell a customer that an appetizer has been taken off the menu (bummer) you should at least make a suggestion as to another alternative - not turn your back and walk away mumbling "sorry". Also, the chef can be a little heavy handed on the salt content of his dishes. Otherwise, the atmosphere is very warm & inviting and the live music is great!

“Save your money!”

Worst dining experience ever. Not only was the food subpar & our order incorrect-our server & the manager(I think it's the owners mom) gave us attitude when we politely complained & basically told us we were wrong. Never been treated so poorly! It is obvious that the kitchen does not care about their product & the staff does not care about their guests. I will never dine here again.

“Great food, great music and good range of beer”
Reviewed July 1, 2012

We were in Roanoke for one night and picked this place pretty much at random. From the moment saw the range of beers (and an excellent US-made hard cider), it looked like we'd got it right. Brief moment of "Oh, no" as a 3 piece group started to set up - really didn't fancy yelling over an Irish band - but no need to panic. They were a talented jazz trio who were happy to play as background music. The menu is extensive pub grub - nothing fancy and nothing over $15, either. The food was superb nosh - nothing fancy but delightfully and efficiently presented. If I find myself in Roanoke again, I will seek this place out.
Whoops - nearly forgot to mention that the wait staff are great, too. Loved the t-shirt slogan "You look like I need a drink". Should also mention that our 12 year old son enjoyed it - there is an extensive kids' menu but he quit that years ago.
