My wife and I ate there the other night and the food was delicious. If you go there you have to try the Brick Oven S'mores with peanut butter. The location of the restaurant just adds to the atmosphere.

The Fork in the Alley is truly a gem in the city of Roanoke, VA. They have the best pizzas around- all are made to order and are oven-fired. Be sure to try one of their unique specialty pizzas, such as the SoRo (ricotta cheese, pesto, sundried tomatoes, baby spinach and black olives)... it is amazing! The rest of the menu has some great selections as well (hamburgers, sandwiches, salads, pastas). Be sure to check out their bar scene too- it’s a happening place after dark with great drinks and a casual atmosphere!

We have been to Fork in the Alley a handfull of times at different times of the year. We just went again this past Saturday night and was very glad we did! We took a friend from out of town and she loved it. The prices are good for the atmosphere and the food. We all enjoyed our meals, I had a specilaty pizza with chicken and spinach, my husband had a white bean and chicken brorito, and our friend had a custom pizza. For the three of us and 6 beers the price was close to $50, we were happy and will take friends there again. The wait was about 15 min at 7pm on Saturday even though they were packed, again great! The only thing was it was a little loud, but that is to be expected.

I've eaten at the Fork many times, and I've never had a bad experience. None of the food has ever blown me away or anything, but it's always solid. If you are looking for bar food, this is your place. The atmosphere is great.

Waitress was a drag. Rarely came back to check on us. FITA burger was mediocre at best. Teleras de la Southwest con Pollo was so tough it was inedible. Fries were cold and old. The waitress didn't even offer to compensate us for anything we ordered - paid full price for entire meal. Not going back...ever.
