The restaurant has some of the most unusual decorations - Aztec theme - that brighten the experience. The salsa comes in a decanter - interesting touch. The wait staff was attentive though a little brusque. The food was tasty and plentiful. The background music was true Mexican style, not what some think is Mexican. The TV was tuned to a Spanish channel. You might think you were truly South of the border. I was visiting in town, but I will go back when I return to Roanoke.

We were staying close by and it was convenient. The service was appalling starting with the non existent greeting and not improving through the meal. We felt that, overall, the staff had no respect or care for customers. There were lots of tatty scruffy paper signs on the doors and tables and the menus and tables were slightly sticky. That said, the decor was very interesting in a bright sort of way and the food was tasty and filling.

Arriived around 5:15, not many people yet, was promptlyn shown to a comfortable bench cushion seat. Most of the reataurant are single tables with four chasirs. Or single tables together with eight chairs. All chairs/tables are brightly painted with an Aztec Indian theme.

I ordered a meal called Chimichanga. The meal was for two people. Finished half, with the rest for a future meal. For dessert was Fried Ice Cream. Both very good. Reasonal prices.

The staff is very friendly and sufficient. They were always asking is I needed any more water or napkins. Outside people can be served, sitting on solid or wire chairs, with solid/wire tables.

I am not a mexican eater., However I would recommend a meal if staying at the nearby Super 8 Motel.
