What an amazing dining experience we had at Stephens. The food was amazing, the service on par with a 5 star Manhatten restaurant. Imagine eating in Roanoke Virginia, but feeling like your in a east coast beach restaurant. The food was actually better than any I've had at the best beachside of Virginia and North Carolina. You will not be disappointed. Go to the beach for the surf, but go to Stephen's for the surf n turf.

Our choice for any special occasion or simply when we want to spoil ourselves a little!
Everything we have tried here has been first-rate. The chef has a magic touch with sauces - always have a great depth of flavor and never overpower the food. Always wonderful seafood dishes. The onion tart appetizer is fabulous as is their house-made spicy blue cheese dressing.
Their service is top-notch and the food will never disappoint.

Led there by AAA guide book which we liked sound of southern Louisiana. Very helpful attentive waitstaff. All we ate was excellent. Lovely salad first choice of rasp. vinaigr. or spicey blue cheese dressing. We had redfish topped with fried oysters , and flakes of crabmeat. My husband usually passes on fried oysters but these were so good he ordered more. The accompanying vegetables were divine: perfectly done asparagus, cabbage and carrot strips sauteed with tarragon just right. Portions were just right. Lovely warm good rolls. Perfect wine . Lovely light Napoleon with Chocolate ganache and creme anglaise and a strawberry. Then a delicious expresso accompanied if one wished to add, cinnamon curls, chocolate powder or brown sugar cubes. Lovely atmosphere too with high ceiling yet cozy corners. We chose from the specials of the day.
