I stay at the Hotel Roanoke probably 5-6 times per year since my daugther is a college student living in Roanoke. This recent overnight stay was wonderful! The check-in was efficient and the staff was very friendly; the room was clean and spacious with a great view; and I only wish I could have stayed longer to enjoy a meal at the Pub. I can't wait for my next stay and visit to Roanoke.

My husband and I recently returned to the Hotel Roanoke, having stayed there in August 2012. As on our first visit, we stayed in a lovely suite, consisting of a huge living room with a gas fireplace, king bed (that was so comfortable we hated to get out of!) and two full bathrooms. We indulged in the hotel’s fabulous breakfast buffet each of the four mornings of our stay, and there was never a lack of sumptuous and varied offerings (and a special “shout-out” to our waitress, Deborah, who took care of our needs in an efficient manner and with a wonderful personal touch and sense of humor, which made for a great way to start our days!). The hotel is historically designated and beautifully decorated in an elegant, yet inviting, style. Having a cocktail at the bar in the Pine Room, or reading a book in front of the fireplace in the lobby (accompanied by one of the hotel’s famous and delicious chocolate chip cookies!), are equally enjoyable experiences. We used the enclosed pedestrian bridge to walk from the hotel into the downtown area, which is so convenient and eliminates the need to drive, worry about parking, etc. As soon as you exit the walkway area, you are greeted to music being piped outside by various restaurants, a very welcoming touch to the downtown area! One night we had a delicious meal at Thai Orchid, as well as a really fun Super Bowl Sunday, with lots of good “bar food” at Blue BBQ Co. (thanks to our patient and accommodating waiter, Michael!). Roanoke is an up and coming and delightful city, and we look forward to another return visit, and definitely a stay at the lovely Hotel Roanoke, very soon!

Everything about the stay and conference location was perfect. The food during the conference was top notch. The hotel is beautiful and I enjoyed the photographs showing it's history. Service, location making historical district very accessible, and other amenities in addition to food, means that I will try to go this conference again!

The Hotel Roanoke is a great hotel to stay during your visit to the area. It is nice and you are within walking distance of all of the downtown attractions. You are welcomed by the valet and bellman who are helpful, and knowledgeable of the area. Upon check in you are welcomed by friendly staff who is very accommodating. The only downfall we have to staying here is that we never know what the view will be like in the room, but you can guarantee that the room will be nice and clean. We hope one day to utilize the spa and restaurant during our stay but so far we are here to visit friends and enjoy dinner downtown.

Dear Jeremy B, thank you for your review and for choosing the hotel for your accommodations. I apologize for the inconvenience experienced with the air conditioning unit. We are in the business of a good night's sleep away from home and didn't meet expectations upon your stay. I do hope we will have another chance to serve you in the future.
