Steam era documentation in its finest with lots of detailed descriptions on how specific pics were taken including lighting. Great display of cameras. Also interesting is the biography of the man himself. You need at least a half day to see the museum, more if you have strong interests.

This unique museum showcases the stunning railroad pictures of Winston Link. Working with the Norfolk and Western Railroad in the l950s, he documented the last of the steam engine trains in stunning photographs. The museum is in the former downtown train station, so you can look out and see the now Norfolk and Southern rail yards and their passing trains. The museum also hosts shows of other interesting photographers. Be sure and see the film on Winston Link's life.

A museum and gallery of the famous railroad photographer O Winston Link, it's everything that one would expect if you know Link. Wonderful original black-and-white photographs from the end of the steam locomotive era are displayed, and some of the equipment and his history are given too. For photographers or railfans, this is a must-see. Sufficiently interesting for non-railfans for a limited duration too, but definitely most enjoyed by the specialists.
