This place was recommended,we had a drink before and looked forward to a good meal. All started well, but when we were half way through our first course our mains were delivered.Asking to speak,to the manager for the evening we were told 'that was the way it was done in America' a casual dining experience.Later she came back to say she would have held them, a blue steak, can you imagine.Whatba shame, the young staff were lovely and it could have been a lovely evening, but it wasn't .

We had dinner for 4 tonight. In all fairness, the crabcakes and halibut entrees were well prepared and well received. But my guests were a younger family with fixed expectations.

My order was not as ordered-- good ingredients, poorly prepared with very skimpy servings. The salmon was overcooked to the point of being tough. The plate was completed with 3 small pieces of broccoli and 7 shortened asparagus spears. Presentation was poor, and the management was unresponsive.

At $23 for the halibut, $23 for the five scallops, and $18 for a five oz portion of salmon with skimpy vegetables, there is little reason to select this restaurant.

The restaurant is an old market with smaller tables across the floor. No intimates spaces, no nuanced lighting, hard wood chairs and little elbow room.

Roanoke has far better alternatives at this price range. Don't waste your time and money here.

We had lunch at the Wildflower Market and Bakery. The service was a bit slow, but the excellent food made up for that. I had the spaghetti with Italian sausage and my wife had the smoked salmon salad. Both were filling portions. Luckily, we saved room for dessert. I had the honey oat cake and she had the carrot cake - both were moist and delicious. Smartly, we took chocolate chip cookies to go. There were a few seats outside and plenty of seating inside. I definitely recommend this restaurant.

Had dinner there in our one night in Roanoke,we had crab cake and an Asian black and blue salad, both delicious and reasonably priced, they have a full bar service and their wine menu is interesting and not over pricey. The service was efficient and the waitress very pleasant and charming. If you like cakes this is a place not to be missed even though it was National Apple Pie day we shared a cream coconut sponge cake which looked and tasted amazing.

homemade salads, bread, and sandwich fillings on a side street in Roanoke. Very healthy and delicious. Nice outdoor seating also hit the spot.
