We were on our 2720 miles motorcycle trip to The Tail of The Dragon and stayed in Roanoke on the way down & up. Found Lucky on TA and reserved online. It was a Monday night but was still lively. We sat at the bar and very friendly Brittany helped us select our drinks and food. Really you cannot go wrong here with food. Bone marrow, Porchetta, grilled octopus, mussels, cheese selection, soft shell crab, fried chicken, duck confit all done to perfection! I've dined at top restaurants in Toronto, Las Vegas, Paris, New York including Michelin 2* & 3* and food here is just as good. Kudos to the chef. Hunter -owner/bartender is a genius with his cocktails, so inventive! Like the title, we loved the atmosphere, service, and food so much we stopped by again on our way back home. We were treated well and a personal touch from Hunter and JP who thanked us for our patronage was icing on the cake. Thanks to Brittany, Hunter and JP. We are sure to drop in again on our next trip.

A good place to go if you like interesting cocktails, but not much of a bar crowd on the night I was there. Interesting looking menu items went passed, I'd like to try their food next time.

Went here for the first time to celebrate my wife's birthday and we were totally wowed. Began with the absolute most fresh & succulent oysters on the half shell (flown in overnight) from the Rappahannock River Oyster Co. Marrow bones appetizer was sinfully & ecstatically rich, and the
deconstructed softshell crab sandwich with cuke salad, jalapeno and pickled daikon had our taste buds dancing for joy. The coup de gras was an unbelievably decadent creme brulee with foie gras.
Lucky Chef Jeff Farmer has truly lucky patrons.

This restaurant was recommended to us by Cindy and Keith the owners of the B&B we were staying at. The restaurant is located in an old building downtown and has lots of atmosphere. A little crowded and loud but that is part of the charm. The menu is not large but lots of interesting items. Our favorites were the oysters and the pickled shrimp that we had as appetizers. Would definitely go to this restaurant again when in Roanoke.

Went as a family of 4. Food (particularly appetizers) very well presented. A real funky restaurant experience, menu a bit small on selection but we all found something. Good selection of beers, a bit on the expensive side ($200) but a very pleasant experience.
