I had previously stayed at this hotel and enjoyed it. The employees are generally very polite and responsive. The pool room was a pleasant temperature - not so hot that people who weren’t swimming were uncomfortable - and it’s a convenient location. The breakfast is also good.
We stayed several nights. The first night we used the pool, the water was chilly. We kept our shoulders below the water and even hung out by the hot water vents to keep warm. The next morning I complained to a guy at the front desk who told me the water temp should be 85 degrees. I told him I didn’t think it was even 70 degrees.
5 hours later we returned to the pool to find the water even cooler than it was the previous night. I imagine it takes some time for the water to warm up but I would think several hours should be sufficient. It is also a warmer day, near 60 degrees but this apparently doesn’t help. I complained to the front desk again, asking if there was broken equipment or something. They said they weren’t aware of any issues.
I typically visit family in Roanoke and bring my grandson who loves the pool. I thought I had found a good hotel where we would stay when we came. I don’t think we’ll be staying here again.
