“Delicious Chicken Quesadillas!! Awesome Buffalo Cheeseburgers.”
Reviewed April 20, 2013 via mobile

One of my favorite local restaurants. They always use fresh ingredients and much is locally grown. Homemade pies and cakes round out the meal. Consistently great service with tasty food is hard to beat!!

“Love their buffalo dogs!”
Reviewed December 19, 2012

Great place for bison meat (any cut available for sale) and lunch. They make a terrific bison stew, fabulous bison hot dogs and hamburgers. The bonus is it is so good for you!

“Great small town food and service”
Reviewed December 16, 2012

Brush Creek Buffalo Store is awesome. We stopped here after getting a suggestion from the guest house we were visiting in Christiansburg. They said it doesn't look like much but has great food...they were absolutely right. The outside is small, but charming. Inside you'll find wood walls and ceiling, a handful mis-matched tables and chairs and a small counter to place your order. The restaurant is clean as a whistle and the staff are incredibly friendly. We both went with the Buffalo Burger Special. You get a delicious burger that is well cooked (Buffalo is low in fat, high in flavor) with a choice of plenty of sides, the potato casserole is really good. The staff is genuinely friendly and at their suggestion went for the desserts. Everything is displayed in tupperware containers in a dessert case. Their Apricot Nectar Cake was easily the best cake I've ever tasted, a lady named Carol makes it from scratch daily...I'm thinking of driving back to order one! It doesn't look like much, but if you want to experience small town home cooking in a cozy, friendly setting then make the trip. It's only about 10 miles off Route 81 and worth the drive.

“Not fancy, nor large, nor expensive. Just good food.”
Reviewed October 6, 2012

Buffalo and More is a tiny establishment (3 or 4 employees) that has about 8 indoor tables (4? outdoor) and specializes in serving bison meat (also some seafood and sometimes lamb). Most meals are in the $6-$9 range and include a main item plus 1 or 2 sides. Typical dishes are seafood (shrimp) quesadillas, cowboy beans (5 types of beans in a savory BBQ sauce with ground bison meat- a favorite in my family), bison burgers, bison hot dogs, Bison burritos and several more. The sides are many, varied and - if included with a particular dish- are selected from a large list.
There is also a large desert menu that varies by day. Several different kinds of cakes and cobblers are usually available (the peach cobbler or the blackberry cobbler with vanilla Blue Bunny icecream are excellent).
The ambiance is simple rustic and is what one might expect of a tiny restaurant located directly between a country store and a rural volunteer fire department station. Typically, I eat here at least once a week as it is very convenient to my work.
