“Chippino is fabulous”
Reviewed April 23, 2012

I order a fisherman's stew at a seafood place whenever it is available. The Passion Fish version is really great. Also, service here is always excellent.

“Good atmosphere, decent seafood”
Reviewed April 22, 2012

We were staying at the Hyatt and we decided to try out PassionFish. The atmosphere is classy and upscale, the restaurant is quite large. I had the Kamikaze maki roll and it was quite good, although I must say that I have had better sushi at other sushi restaurants in Toronto. My parents had the trout and the sole, and they enjoyed it, although it was not as fabulous as expected with the high price.

“An attempt at gourmet dining”
Reviewed April 20, 2012

We went to this restaurant for the fish dishes. When our party of 4 arrived at 7PM on a weeknight, the noise level was high in the main dining room, so we moved out onto the outdoor seating.
The service was very slow. At 30 minutes in, we received four crackers. At 40 minutes, I asked for our appetizers, and was told that the kitchen was confused. At 45 minutes, our appetizers arrived, followed by dinner after a 60 minute wait. The food was good, although the portions small. The cheviche had stale popcorn on top, which the waiter said was meant to be witty.
Throughout the restaurant people who were drinking as if at a bar. At the table near ours there was shrieking laughter, pounding the table, walking up and down, and so on. Other diners were staring and frowning. It was disruptive, but it went on for the 90 minutes we were there, and still going strong when we left. It was not an atmosphere for family, fine dining or celebration.
The atmosphere was not appealing to me, but then I understood—this is a loud bar with an attempt at fine dining. People drink at bars and act accordingly. With every entre over $32, the total for the meal well over $200, it was a high price for bar food. The food was good, but service and atmosphere are part of a fine dining experience. Other restaurants do a better job at managing the bar scene and the dining scene in the same building. Needs improvement.

“Take your best clients here!”
Reviewed April 20, 2012

Did you know Passion Fish has a smaller separate dining room for groups. Wonderful way to treat special clients! The fish is wonderful and the service is just as good as in the main dining room.

“Fresh Bright flavors”

Love the Ceviche. The decor is fun and the bar is hopping'. I prefer this to Jacksons as a place to get a cocktail and a meal that is good.
