This museum is great for all sports fans. Local people are recognized and it is a wonderful place to learn about Virginia sports personalities.

We visited this museum on september 23rd.
There is a parking garage right behind the museum at 441 Middle street (1$/hour).
It is not a big museum and it is mainly focused on Virginian athletes/teams/champions. I personally liked the sports (basketbal, basebal, footbal and soccer) that you can try at the second floor. One of the employees tought me how to throw a football. It is not ease if you are used to play handball.
With your ticked you get one coin to play on a Nascar Simulator. Extra coins are available.

We visited this museum last weekend for the first time with 2 teenagers. Loved the museum, but it is very small. We saw the whole thing in under 2 hours. Remember to bring your AAA card and the cost is $6.00 per person.

This was a museum that was of great interest to my two teenage boys. I myself enjoyed some aspects of it and I am not a sports fan. You get to play interactive sport games upstairs. There is a Nascar Simulator to play against the computer or another person. They have a place to pitch a baseball and see how fast your pitch was, kick the soccer ball into the goal with obstacles and also throw a football through holes at different positions. There is a basketball court also where you can shoot hoops. The workers were dressed like refs and were really nice. There was a balance machine, reaction machine, and virtual fitness rides which showed pictures of travel through woods in Virginia for example. There was sports memorabilla to look at. Also, there was a broadcast room. There was a movie to see about great sports athletes. These are the main highlights.
