Tucked away at the end of a tree-lined drive is a majestic, two-story, white frame house with a lawn stretching down to a peaceful cove at the back. It's like a return to a serene and tranquil time of years past with its rocking chairs, bicycles, and canoe, along with chances to fish from the pier, toss horseshoes, or just relax in the hammock. The inn's hosts, Greg and Lori, provide spacious, light-filled, airy guestrooms that are not only beautiful and tastefully decorated, but also comfortable. Updated, adjoining baths, assured us of privacy and we had a sound night's rest. Each morning, we awoke to the far-away sounds of birds as they flew over the peaceful waters of the cove, and next, we smelled delicious aromas coming from the kitchen where Greg had prepared a delectable and memorable breakfast. Lori helped him serve and no detail was left undone, even down to the warming of the plates. Greg and Lori are personable, engaging hosts who seem to be attuned to their guests' every wish or need, and we found them to be attentive and accommodating without being intrusive or interfering. To find a special get-away place for quiet moments, we loved the first-floor library, with its ornate fireplace and feel of serenity. We spent our last night down by the water, lying on the pier, looking up at the myriad of stars. A truly charming and delightful inn that is beautiful, peaceful, and a special retreat.

This place is like a scene out of a movie. What a perfect setting ! Then when you think just how good this is, it gets better with the hospitality of Greg and Lori. Greg is one heck of a chef and the breakfast he serves will never be forgotten and often wished for...then Lori with her gracious hospitality added...WOW !! Heaven on earth !! They have maintain old traditional Chesapeake charm in todays modern world. I don't think words can capture the natural beauty of the Tabbs Creek area and the near-by quaintness of Mathews, VA. The Inn at Tabbs Creek is on our short list for many more visits.

What an experience! We loved everything about Tabbs Creek. Greg & Lori were absolutely wonderful host & hostess. The most beautiful sunset and stunning rooms after the day was done, The breakfast was heavenly both mornings--and coffee on the screened in porch was magnificent. Not to mention the wonderful wine and appetizers in the evening while watching the sun set over Tabbs Creek. I will be back. AAA+++++

This is our third return to the Inn and what another fantastic experience to savor. We brought our friends from Japan and had a super time with perfect weather. A superb spot to unwind and catch up with friends and family. It goes without saying that this is the best B&B in the surrounding area and my wife and I highly recommend a stay to anyone. Thanks Greg and Lori!!

My wife and I just spent 4 days at The Inn at Tabbs Creek and it was a wonderful experience! Greg and Lori Dusenberry are exceptional hosts. They made us feel so much at home. Lori was out to meet us as we drove up the first afternoon. Breakfast each morning was prepared by Greg and was something different and special each day. Every room is beautifully furnished and comfortable. The Inn sits on a little inlet with a lot of wildlife to observe (Osprey, Blue Heron, Otter). Some of the most extraordinary sunsets I’ve seen. Take a camera! There’s a lot to take advantage of in the area and several good restaurants in nearby Matthews. Definitely going back.
