Stopped in town to visit and took the opportunity to have lunch before heading home. The restaurant is dated and not in the way of nostalgic. They weren’t busy and I didn’t mind waiting on the server. There were many options on the menu but I chose the fried oyster platter with fries. The food came quickly and was hot. The fries were cooked to perfection. Hot and crispy on the outside and smooth and moist on the inside. The oysters were a little over cooked. The breading on the outside had an odd taste like it needed salt. The oysters were nothing special and had a dirty taste. The tartar sauce helped with the flavor. Wasn’t their fault. They buy them breaded and just fry them in oil. I don’t see another visit in my future.
