From the moment we arrived at Heron Hill we knew we had found ourselves in paradise. The location is extremely beautiful, with wide expansive views of some gorgeous New Zealand scenery. The house itself is set in lovely grounds - the owners clearly have a passion for gardening. And it's the owners, Keith and Miranda, who transformed our stay into an unforgettable holiday.
Nothing seemed to be too much trouble for them, from the seemingly effortlessly produced fabulous meals, to attention to all the little extras which make the crucial difference. Keith and Miranda both have an excellent sense of humour and a very relaxed manner, which immediately made us feel at home.
The house is a beautiful design and very tastefully decorated, with lots of exciting original New Zealand art on the walls.
I can't recommend this place too highly - really special.
