Delightful place to stay during our golf trip. Comfortable rooms and beds with a stunning view over the forest. Marika was a gracious, knowledgable and engaging host - we wish we could have stayed longer. Breakfast was amazing. The Pear Tree Restaurant was a great place to eat within a short walking distance - one of two options close to the accommodation. Highly recommend!!

We loved the feel of the place the minute we got out of our car. When we walked into the lodge which felt so open and light and saw fresh tangelos just picked off the tree available for us, we knew we had picked the right spot. Richard and Marika could not have been more gracious. They had great resources for us to use to go on terrific hikes without even having to drive. A plus for us was the beautiful Anglican church next door. The views were incredible. Having two excellent restaurants just down the street was a a great perk, also. We had fresh squeezed oj and cappacino on top of a great breakfast each morning! Our room had everything we could need, a fridge, a deck with a great view, a couch, everything one needed to make tea or coffee. The bathroom floor was even heated!

Stayed 3 nights, (could have stayed 3 weeks) Richard was off overseas, but Marika (and friends) were perfect hosts. Nothing was any trouble, the room was excelent, and the breakfasts........ were..........well...... what can I say, "outstanding".
We took advantage of the Golfers Special and had a great time. Look forward to doing it all again!

Beautiful ambience and excellent facilities. The host Richard was charming and knowledgeable and couldn't do enough to make our stay as good as it could be. Highly recommended if you want somewhere a little different, but top quality.

A lovely, luxurious yet relaxed place to stay. Every comfort has been thought of and the breakfasts are delicious. We stayed in winter, and the room was warm and there was a wood-burning stove in the lounge for extra cosiness. Lovely views of the bush and well-located for exploring Kerikeri and the surrounding areas. Richard our host was very helpful and welcoming.

We spent 2 nights at Stone Store Lodge and it was simply one of the best accomodation we have come across, and we have come across many! The room's view was breathtaking and the room's facilities was top class. Our host Lucy was also extremely friendly and made us feel very at home. The location is also superb with a wonderful restaurant nearby. Really enjoyed our stay.
