Warm and welcoming base from which we explored the Bay of Islands. This seems to be an excellent option if you want to avoid the hype of Pahia. It is still only 20 mins drive to Waitangi and Pahia...so an excellent choice in our case.More

I stay here for 2 days. The room is well prepared. Very nice place, nice owner and comfortable.
Everything is clean! The kitchen is large enough for 4 people cooking together.
All animals are nice esp. the dogs.
This is the best hostel I have been stayed in New Zealand. It makes me miss Kerikeri.
So glad you had an amazing time when you stayed at Kerikeri Farm Hostel. We work hard to make the Farm Hostel a great place to stay so it’s always great to get feedback like this from people like yourself.
Cheers Aya & Steffen
We came here the first time just after we arrived in NZ and were greatly welcomed by Claes, Aya & Steffen. Everything was totally new for us but they made us feel comfortable and helped us in many situations. We booked for 3 nights, but stayed more than 2 weeks and visited nearby places like Matauri Bay (so beautiful), Rainbow Falls, had a good soak in the Ngawha Springs and did daytrips to Cape Reinga and the big Kauri Trees on the west coast. It is just a fantastic basis to explore the Far North. The Hostel itself is unique. I mean, where do you get free Wifi and oranges, fresh free range eggs, lots of cute animals, a swimming pool, a huge lounge with eucalyptus floor, the probably best equippes kitchen in NZ... under one roof?!!
We loved the evenings in front of the cosy log fire sharing stories with the hosts and other travellers, reading a book or petting Nika the dog.
The animals are lovely. We enjoyed it to take the dogs Nika & Weewee for a walk around the orchard, it's huge. We never saw Kune Kune Pigs before and had fun to feed them and Fluffy the sheep. And those chickens, each has another hairstyle, very pretty!
We really hope we can come back...one day.
Thanks for all, Arigato, Tack & Dankeschön!
The service, standard and over-all feel to this hostel was beyond anything I could have immagined. The hosts were fantastic, and the hostel clean, quiet and relaxing. Please go there! You won't regret it!
Thank you so much for your feedback – we really appreciate it! It’s awesome to hear that you love staying with us and find our rooms, location and staff great. We look forward to having you stay again next time you’re in Kerikeri. See you soon! Cheers Aya & Steffen
I loved this place. Spotless, welcoming, great location. Booked a couple of nights by internet from the UK, stayed a week and was sad to leave. I was met at the airport which took me by surprise, and immediately I'd settled into my cosy room, tap on the door, and 'would I like a lift down to the supermarket to get supplies in?'. Absolutely no quibbles about using the internet which was a dream, later in the trip I felt I was paying through the nose for internet or scanner use. I rather liked the no locks on doors, it set the agenda for communal living, respect each other and each other's property. I was a long long way away from home and on my own and a bit scared when I arrived. The lovely couple at Keri Keri gave me the perfect welcome to NZ and gave me confidence for the couple of months ahead. Thanks!
Cute hostel in the middle of orange farm.
Very friendly staff, clean kitchen and good equipped. Nice veranda at the back and cute dog.
Too bad you can't lock your room doors, we were there all the time but we were uncomfortable to leave our valuables in the room. It's bit out of the town, but no problems for us as we had a car.
Remember to book your trips in the Bay of Islands in advance, we just rocked up and lucked out for a boattrip the next day. We couldn't stay longer unfortunately.
