Fantastic stay with wonderful hosts and luxurious accommodation. Wendy and Tony are committed to providing a exceptional experience from the moment you walk in the doors and the Tui suite was private, warm and beautifully peaceful .The breakfast was delicious and healthy using home grown and locally sourced produce, with great coffee!
We will definitely stay again.

Thank you for your kind words, we make every effort to make sure your stay is warm relaxing and providing great food and coffee. With winter coming on the air conditioning in the Tui Suite is invaluable to keep you cosy as are the yummy fluffy robes. Looking forward to your return visit. regards Wendy and Tony

We didn't pre-book our stay at Treghan Cottage but happened to be looking for accommodation in Kerikeri and fortunately for us drove up the driveway. What awaited us were wonderful hosts in Wendy & Tony who gave us many suggestions on sightseeing and a beautifully appointed suite with a lovely sitting area looking out onto the garden and a very comfortable bed. The breakfasts were fabulous and we loved having a chat in the morning over coffee. We'll be back - thanks again Wendy & Tony

Thank you for your kind words, yes who would know that down our drive is a quiet private retreat yet less than 1k to Kerikeri. The advantage of being where we are is that we can take advantage of the wonderful bird life with Kiwi's calling at night and not have any traffic noise but be in such a great location for all the trips and tours. Thank you for coming down our drive, we look forward to a return visit. Regards Wendy and Tony

Thankyou Tony and Wendy for making our stay in the Bay of Islands perfect. Wendy was very knowledgeable of the area and what to do, very helpful with booking trips. The room we stayed in was the Tui Suite and was very comfortable to wind down in at the end of the day on the comfy sofa. Yummy breakfast accompanied by friendly conversation over the breakfast table. The pancakes are amazing!! Great spot, close to town yet feels like you are in the middle of nowhere surrounded by lush greenery. Great place to escape. We will be back to visit again. In the meantime we will be recommending others to stay.

It was our pleasure to help make you stay memorable, we pride ourselves on Knowledge of the area and the things to do, it was wonderful to help you sort our what you wanted to do to maximize your stay. We do love food and so it is always very satisfying giving guests wonderful food with the whow factor. The location does indeed feel secluded but less than 1 minute to Kerikeri, having no immediate neighbours helps and of course the bird life and the Kiwi's calling at night. Yes do come back soon, regards Wendy and Tony

This was our second night in NZ and we had enjoyed the scenic delights of the Bay of Islands before and after our check in. We had largely positive experiences at all of our stays in NZ over the past 10 days but Treghan Cottage stood out as the best establishment we experienced (in NZ or anywhere else for that matter). Wendy's travel advice was invaluable in the local area including some stunning scenery by way of an alternative route on our way back to Auckland.
We enjoyed a lively discussion with our fellow guests and Wendy and Tony over the excellent breakfast which set the tone for our return trip. Our only regret was that we could not stay longer.

Whow thanks for the fabulous review, to stand and be the best accommodation in 10 days is high praise indeed, yes we are very lucky to be living in such a beautiful property and secluded garden yet so close to everything. We aim always to give guests the best possible experience for their stay it is what makes us different from some accommodation providers. We want you to have an amazing holiday and it is up to us to help give you that, come again soon, great conversations over breakfast. regards Wendy and Tony

We stayed at Treghan cottage for only one night , Im sure if we had stayed longer a 5 star rating would apply .
Our room was fresh , light and airy with a sitting room to relax . Wendys attention to detail did not go unnoticed ,all the little luxuries are there .
Both Tony & Wendy joined us for breakfast we had a great chat over a delicious fresh breakfast and a very nice coffee ( the best coffee of all the B&B's we stayed on our 2 week trip ) .
Wendy has big plans for the gardens and in time they will be a highlight Im sure ,would love to return in a few years see the progress and maybe one of Wendys coffees.

Thank you for taking the time to put up a review for us, it is indeed high praise regarding our attention to detail but most of all the coffee. As you explained you were really fussy about coffee and normally can't drink it but our fabulous machine or is it our ability to make superb coffee meant you found it wonderful the best in your two week stay in NZ, come again we consistently serve great food and great coffee. The garden changes are underway and already I am happy with the stunning results, looks great and as things grow so very fast up here next summer should be magical. Regards Wendy and Tony

my husband and I (no not the Queen!) had an absolutely fabulous time at Treghan Cottage, I cannot speak highly enough of the lovely and welcoming feeling the place made us feel and Wendy and Tony were amazing. The service was excellent, the breakfast was outstanding and the rooms beautifully kept throughout our stay. Also Wendy organised any activities we wanted to do and not only recommended restaurants to us but booked them as well!!
We will certainly going back there next time we are travelling up to Bay of Islands.

many thanks to you both for a wonderful break
