The menu selection on wine and beer was quite exceptional. The food was so-so. Enjoy the atmosphere! You'll feel like you are somewhere unique when at the Micro Wine Bar.

We ended up trying most of the tapas menu - highly recommend the triple baked potatoes and the goats cheese, date and pancetta dish, and both desserts. If you are after a 3 course, fine dining experience this is not the place to come. It is a cool bar with great owners, fantastic chef and a lovely courtyard to enjoy the fantastic food. Make sure you try it. Terrific wine and beer suggestions too. Well priced too.

A lovely wine bar where you are warmly welcomed by its hosts. Has been furbished to look like a professional wine bar and it is a delight to sit and enjoy their wines and beers.

Very popular place to be and filled up quickly on Saturday late afternoon. You could sit inside our outside in the back courtyard [seemed very popular area] and cyclists enjoyed sitting outside in the front courtyard where they were near their bikes.

We had the 'white flight' of 5 wines and hubby and I sipped them all and enjoyed the opportunity to try some of the local wines. We then ordered a glass of one of these wines each.

We had two tapas but felt they were 'lacking in taste' e.g. prawns in garlic and tomato - we both couldn't taste the garlic.

Customers seemed to be ordering lots of craft beers also.

A delightful wine bar with professional staff who looked after customers very well. Really enjoyed the wines 'and the experience'.

Definitely recommend you visit for 'a drink or two or three..."

The Micro Wine Bar is actually best for its beer (we didn't like the Martinborough wines that much) - a great and extensive NZ craft beer selection. Add delicious tapas and very friendly staff to that, and you have a winner!
