Seashells Scarborough
Reviewed September 25, 2012

Firstly, let me say that I would return here in a heartbeat. The location is spot on for the beach which is accessed across a quiet road/carpark.
The apartment itself was spacious but was starting to feel its age. As some reviewers have already mentioned, the 'spa bath' should be taken with a pinch of salt. It does have spa jets but is not really something you can lie back an relax in.
The rest of the apartment was generally well appointed with flat screen tv and dvd player but the kitchen was something of a let down. The oven was the main area of concern. It never seemed to get up to a reasonable temperature and an attempt to cook a roast dinner nearly failed when the joint of beef took 2.5 hrs just to cook to 'rare' when it should have been done in 1.5 hours!

On a more positive note, the block does have a small but well heated pool and a sauna as well has secure parking and when we reported that the tumble dryer was not working properly it was replaced with a new one the following day.

We booked a 3 bed apartment so stayed in the Sandcastles apartments a few doors down from Seashells. They are right on the sea front and have a fantastic view of the ocean. We found them well equipt and very clean and good value for an apartment of this size.

Room Tip: As for a high floor for a better view

The seashells Scarborough is well-kept in relation to the sisterhotel in mandurah. Not even new, but not so expensive, clean and with functional rooms. We had a little bit noisy apartments one floor lower and a spabath in our 2 bdrm. apartment like a joke. The spabath was suitable for childs, not for other poeple. ( small, very small). But if you are coming with a car you have perfect covered and safety parking spaces.

this is a fabulous location .opening up the patio doors onto the terrace looking onto the seafront is fab you can watch them surf all day if you want. the appartment has everthing you could live there!..with coles supermarket just down the road its ideal.the only drawback as with everything else in ozz, coming from england its very expensive! the best restaurant in the area is kanders just on the corner.this is also expensive, about 30 to 50% more than england but the food is sensational.theres plenty of free parking, even the swimming pools in the sun.dont stay in perth hire a car and stay here.

I had been so disappointed with a business stay at the well known hotel 100m to the north that I cut it short. I booked several nights here after an 11 year hiatus. I'm not sure why I ever stayed anywhere else in that time.

I'm paying exactly the same and have a better view. There is no service but the apartments are quite up front about this - 'self catering apartment'. The rooms are clean, far bigger, the bathroom better. You simply couldn't wish for a better view.

It's 100m from anything that you could need and you have an uninterrupted vista of the Indin Ocean sunset.

All ticks for me. I won't bother with the hotel anymore.

Room Tip: I paid less here for a deluxe room than the competing hotel. The difference being that this room dir...

We stayed for 10 days over christmas in the two bedroom apartment (two adults, two children). Fantastic decor, clean and well equipped. The two balconies were a real treat as were both the pools. Seconds from the beach, blissful! Thank you for the service!

I stayed here briefly with my partner and wished the trip had been longer. We had amazing ocean views, and great weather. The location was great for us, it had anything we needed in walking distance and was only a short drive to other areas of Perth.
