I stayed here in October 2011 for a week in the double en-suite room.
The hostel itself is a bit mis-match / student house-ish but many of the residents have been there for quite a while and seem to keep coming back - everyone seems to know everyone else and enjoy being there.
My room was situated off of the entrance hall area and the walls were pretty thin which meant it was difficult to get to sleep at night as you could hear the TV really well!! There were signs up asking for people to keep the noise down after 11pm - but it was pretty much ignored! Suggestion: take some earplugs.
The bed was comfy though. Tea, coffee and sugar were provided.
There was also a TV in the room with limited channels, but it stopped working half was through the week.
The hostel was situated in a residential area and about a 15 min walk to the beach and supermarket. Bus to Perth went from the other side of the main road and took about 40 mins.
Internet usage was a good price with two communal computers available and wi-fi.
They don't take credit/debit cards so you'll need to pay cash up front for your stay.
