Owner description: Happs Wines - an exceptional Margaret River wine company Established in 1978, the Happs brand was amongst the first to put the Margaret River Region on the map. Erl Happ backed his judgement in pioneering the cool climate of Karridale, in the south of the region. Not only was the Three Hills Vineyard planted out with the standard varieties, already popular in Australia and for which the Margaret River region has become world famous, but also to new varieties little known to most wine drinkers. Between the two Happs vineyards located in the northern and southern extremes of the region, we grow 30 grape varieties and produce a comprehensive portfolio of wines. The vineyard's distinct ripening seasons provide us with a fruit resource to craft sweet and dry wines of the highest quality. Visit our Cellar Door and Pottery Gallery to experience our warm welcome, taste from amongst the many different wine styles and flavours, enjoy a peaceful moment in the grounds or browse in the pottery gallery with its array of arts and crafts.

Stumbled upon this place as was staying across the road.
Just brilliant, the staff in particular Trevor were so friendly and helpful. Do not visit the area without dropping in!

“Winter Warmer”
Reviewed June 4, 2013

My friend Claire bragged about this place all weekend so on the way back to Perth from Margaret River, we formed a convoy and went to see what the hype was about. We started in the gallery looking at pottery from local artists. Claire is quite the connoisseur and already has a large collection of pottery so while she happily shopped for more one of a kind pieces we made ourselves at home in front of the wood fire! The customer service from what I could tell was excellent and if wasn't for me relocating next year, I would have bought myself an item to start a collection!
Then it was on the wine and what seemed like an endless list of choices. I left with a six pack and they gave me a 7th bottle free (select bottles only) which made me happy. Great range, very reasonable prices and available at local bottleshops if you can't get down to Dunsborough.

“Yum, yum, triple yum!”
Reviewed May 7, 2013

Decided to visit here as we were told about an arts market there, was pleasantly surprised to see (& taste) their fantastic range of sweet wines available. Extremely hard to decide which ones to buy. Would have bought more but we were doing a lot of travel and thinking of return trip ohme to NSW. If you like sweet wines, you'll love this place! Staff exremely friendly and full of advice and tips. All set in beautiful grounds.

“Lots of wines to choose and a warm welcome”
Reviewed December 10, 2012

No shortage of choice here. Considerate staff and a beautiful setting. You might find it a challenge choosing which wines to sample if like us you don't know much about the topic, but I doubt you can really go wrong. As long as you know whether you like them sweet or dry, just put yourself in the hands of the experts - you won't go too far wrong.
