To be fair, we just wanted to sit outside and have a drink. It turned into an epic event. After waiting to be served for nearly half an hour I chased down a waitress. 10 minutes later she came to us. It seems there was a problem with the barrels so I just ordered a bottle from the fridge to speed things up. Another 10 minutes we get the drinks, my wife's Pina Colada was quite bland and left unfinished. We had our drink then had to try and catch a waitress for the bill. It was probably about and hour and a half in total just to get a so so drink and get out of there. The waitress was polite but the place is obviously understaffed and they're certainly not looking to please the customer. Very disappointing. A great building and location but needs some professional management.

We took our overseas visitors to Indiana for coffee after a morning at Sculptures by the Sea, but ended up ordering food as well. Our waiter was fantastic (he had a lovely French accent too) - he helped us find enough chairs for our large group. We had a table by the window which offered spectacular views of the ocean. Food was good; we had a couple of share plates, squid, popcorn and chips in a bucket. No complaints about the food, although service was a tad slow. However..when we got to the bottom of the bucket of chips, we noticed the rust! It wasn't a spot of rust - the bucket was rusty all over! We brought it to the attention of the waiter who took it away to report it but never came back. We waited a while for him to return to at least offer an apology but no one came. So we left! Should have stuck with just coffee!

I took my family in who were visiting from the UK. After searching for someone to find us a table were eventually seated with menus in hand (although we had said we only wanted drinks).

We waited and waited and waited and no one bothered to serve us. There was plenty of staff stood right in front of us who I kept waving at but still no service. We eventually decided to simply leave and get coffee elsewhere and this is where it gets even better. We stood up and started to leave which a staff member actually spotted as simply came over, didn't say one word to us but cleared the menus off the table!

Not sure how you get anyone to stay with such rude and useless service. This is the first time I have ever complained on here, but I just thought you should know how inattentive your staff are to people who simply want a coffee!!

A welcome respite when visiting Cotteloe Beach. We went in at 11.30 for a drink and early lunch. It's a good job that we were not in a hurry. We had to wait to order and then for the drinks with the fish & chips arriving eventually. We had coffee afterwards and left at 1.15! Very relaxing. The food was tasty a wooden plater of fish with chips in a metal basket and a sweet onion plus tartre sauce. Worth a visit if only to see inside the iconic building that is Cottesloe.

We use to go to the Indiana Tea House when we were entertaining family from overseas as watching the sunset with a drink and fine food epitomizes Perth.
Alas, this restaurant is all that is bad about Perth dining.
We were originally turned away as they were 'setting up for dinner'. After returning 1/2 hr later we were seated and noted that the venue is very tired and needs some refurbishment. The setting is no longer a finer dining experience, but akin to a nice pub.
Service was very slow. Our simple drinks took about 10-15 mins to arrive and then the meal took significantly longer than we expected. In the meantime the children were given colouring in pages....without anything to colour them in with. After my son asked the waiter 3x he came back and advised that the restaurants supply of coloured pencils were with another child so he would have to wait.
The meal was poor. Fish and chips were about the best buy. I had the Angus Steak ($40) which was overcooked and not the best cut of meat. It was bland. The portion of chips I ordered to accompany the steak did not arrive and we had to ask twice before it finally came - when others were significantly through eating. Dont bother with the beetroot salad.
The meal was extremely overpriced. As above $40 for an overcooked steak with the only addition some burnt vegetable - I think it was originally asparagus - some mashed beetroot and a small about of sauce which appeared to be placed to keep the steak on the plate.

The view as always was magnificent. Our Waiter was very nice and did apologize on occasion. He cant be blamed for the complete mismanagement of this iconic venue.
