I agree with previous poster that there is so much potention at this Tavern. Specials of the day were all seafood. Basic pub food but nice salad bar. Would have preferred to have tried the restaurant at the Pinnacles Edge resort.

3 of us went for an evening meal here, not much competition in Cervantes. Menu had lots of choice, and thats the best i can say, ordered our meals, after a long wait 2 came out and after an even longer wait and complaining 3rd came out. 1 was uneatable other 2 were just o.k. Feels like you are back at school in a big dining hall, no effort made by staff to be friendly, in fact quite the opposite, with no apology for delay in 3rd meal. Can,t recommend eating here

This place could be so much better! First of all we asked about the oysters. We were told they were not fresh, only frozen as with all the seafood they served. The interesting thing is that Cervantes is a fishing town, with a large lobster fishing industry and a lobster processing plant just 1km down the road. The menu even boasted "local lobster".
After waiting around an hour for our meals, the results were far from extraordinary. The chicken parmigiana was dry and uninspiring, the kids chicken nuggets were watery and the chicken Caesar salad, which we were assured was cooked fresh, was cold and the bacon pieces mixed in were raw. As my wife is pregnant, we are careful to ensure food is fresh and well cooked. We were assured by staff this would be the case.
We did get a refund for the Caesar salad which was nice, but all in all, for a meal which cost close to $60, we would expect better. At least offer fresh lobster in a town where it is the main industry!

Even for country WA this place has made no effort with the decor! But its honest pub grub so you can do worse if in this neck of the woods.
