This is certainly a great way to appreciate Mother Nature's artistic talents. Be wowed by a wide expanse full of sand/seashell columns (read the information at the Interpretive/Information Centre). Good photo opportunities and don't forget sunglasses/hat and water, and camera. You could opt to walk (1.6km) or drive (4km with places to stop for photos).

The Pinnacles are beautiful and must be seen to be believed...but the $11 entry fee per car is a bit much, especially when everything in Perth/WA is so expensive and other national parks there (like Yanchep) charge fees as well. Not used to paying NP fees in Queensland, just saying....

The Pinnacles is an amazing sight, when you see pictures and postcards, it doesnt really do it justice. On our recent holiday to Perth, we decided to make the journey North and stayed in Cervantes, lovely quaint town, just a typical 'outback' Aussie town - (more about the hotel in another review). The road has recently been improved but it is long and very straight and undulating, took under 3 hours so could be done in a day trip
We went at about 6pm and the cost to drive around them is $11 so not too expensive and there is an honesty box after 4pm.
We began the drive through, and I had thought it would be proper roads, but be prepared it is sand, and you follow a track through them with parking places to pull in a view the rocks closer, you are not allowed to walk amongst the rocks, but can take pictures and there is an amazing decked place to take pictures from, it is like a scene from Mars, or you could imagine it being something from a Star Wars set. Well worth a visit. A definite must see on a trip to WA

Drove to the Pinnacles from Perth on a beautiful day in Early January. They've improved the roads and have some decent stopping areas on route. Entering the Pinnacles you pay a small fee and given some do's and don'ts. Driving around on the one way track you can get out and get up close to this wonderful sight. The colours of the sand, vegetation and sky make an amazing background to the rock formations and we took many pictures. A great day out for us but I believe we caught the weather and conditions just right.
