My wife and I stayed at Windsor Houes on our road trip from Adelaide to Brisbane. When you first sight the house you know you are in for something special and we were not disapointed. We stayed in the Aderfeldy suite which was a fantastic experience , just like stepping back in time, if travelling as a family there is the added bonus of the snore room. There was plenty of room and the bed was very comfortable. Windsor house is ideally located within Walhalla and walking distance from everything not that you have to walk far. Kath was a superb host and made sure we had all we required. Due to the time of year we had to eat out but this was not an issue as we went to the Wally pub which served a standard pub style fare which was well served and tasted good. So did the beer.
We did have a strange experience when we heard voices outside the house when I peered over the window there was a ghost tour, below pointing up to our room. They must have thought they had seen an aperition as they all pointed to the window. Funny ,
Wallhala itself is a great place to visit with plenty to see and do, the best bit is when the day visitors leave and it feels like you have the place to yourself, except the ghost tour. During our 11 night trip we stayed at various places and Walhalla and Windsor house are a place we would like to re- visit some time. We were so pleased that we chose to stay at Windsor House.
