“A camouflaged gem”
Reviewed February 22, 2013

It doesn't look like much from the outside (just near Mitcham Station), but the food is great! Yes, the decor is a little tired, but I don't eat at a restaurant for the decor. The lady at the front is lovely and helpful, but it's the food that's the real star... the Lamb Barra cutlets, the Tandoori chicken (an actual whole or half chicken, not diced-up pieces), the Lamb Rogan Josh (a long-time favourite, has never disappointed), the naan bread, mango lassi...it's all very tasty. This place has only let me down once: when we ordered a Sag Aloo (potato with spinach) and the potato was old and rather tasteless. With such reasonable prices, we keep going back again and again to stuff ourselves on yummy Indian. Well worth a visit.

“Good honest food and service”
Reviewed October 14, 2012

Having eaten at Khus boo many, many times - I can freely say that the food at this family run restauarant must be the best Indian restauarant food around. Sunil in the kitchen does a great job and Shobha is always welcoming and an excellent hostess. The Kashmiri Naan is the best I have tasted at any local Indian Restaurant. If you enjoy Northern Indian cuisine, do your self a favour and make a reservation. The decor is nothing special - but the food makes up for it and as a bonus it is BYO. Parking is not a problem and there is a bottle shop at the hotel over the road.

“Genuine Indian food and people”
Reviewed May 24, 2012

This is a local Indian restaurant just neat Mitcham Station. The lady out front is a delight. She works hard and knows her food and service. Her husband cooks and you won't find better Indian food anywhere. It is a family affair with the daughter sometimes helping out as a waitress and the son out back doing his homework. The decor is simple but tasteful. Always a winner here.

I have had some of the best Indian food around the world, and it is allways nice to come home and enjoy a meal at Khus boo. But don't tell anyone.
