“Peaceful paradise in the suburbs”
Reviewed September 15, 2013 via mobile

Spent a sunny afternoon here with my husband today & it was totally relaxing. So peaceful and pretty!
We walked around the walking/ jogging track and stopped to explore an indoor greenhouse filled with ferns & fountains, just nearby a special War Memorial, which is really lovely too.
There are sports ovals and playgrounds for children - as well as lots of bbq areas and grass to sit, play & enjoy the surrounds!

Highlight was the big lake and all the wildlife like geese & ducks. Sitting on a bench by the lake today was a very relaxing way to spend the afternoon!

“Lovely place for a walk”
Reviewed June 6, 2013

Many consider this park only as a boring suburban park, however, the grounds are beautiful and there are many birds around.

Great for runs or walks, especially with dogs.

“nice park..beware of the louts”
Reviewed April 29, 2013

it's a nice easily reached destination not too far out of town...but, come late afternoon/nightfall, it almost teems with bored, disaffected youths, who are anathema to middle aged types who can't deal with boorish behaviour

“Large beautiful park with easy access”
Reviewed January 19, 2013

Caulfield Park is a sprawling garden filled with sporting and recreational areas.
At the West (City) end, are found the formal gardens.
Dating from the 1800's, there are numerous mature trees.
Worth visiting are the War Memorial from the Great War and the bandstand dedicated by a former Prime Minister!!
The highlight is the lake filled with Ducks and Geese.
Take the time to sit and stare or read a newspaper over a coffee.
A milk bar is on the corner of Hawthorn Rd and Inkerman St, and the park has toilets and plenty of drinking fountains.
Access is easy with plenty of car parking and passed by three of Melbourne's tram routes.
A relaxing spot with plenty of wide open spaces close to the suburbs!!
