If you want to get away into the bush this is the place. Little cottages tucked away surrounded by bush and trees. Accommodation to suit couples and families.

what a beautiful place to unwind and relax with our partner. The food was beautiful too, along with the most perfect accommodation

My partner saw an advertisement for Lemonthyne Lodge some years ago, and had wanted to go stay there ever since, so we decided to make that come true last December. He was not disappointed. The accommodation was lovely, and very close to nature with the balcony out over the very beautiful ferns, and the food in the restaurant was so delicious.
We would go again, and do at least one more of their walking tracks...and Cradle Mountain was not to far off as well, so very convenient!

We were on our way to the Cradle Mountain Lodge and it was close to 3pm and we hadn't had our lunch yet. So we saw the sign for Lemonthyme and I remember reading about it so we decided to go there for lunch.

The sign said it would only take 8 minutes or something like that to drive in there but the road is VERY windy and narrow with many blind corners and it is not well managed so it made the driving very difficult.

We got there at about 2.45pm and luckily the receptionist said they were still serving lunch. I guess it was downtime or maybe that's how they manage the place but the same lady who manages the check ins also took our orders and brought out all the food which was a bit strange.

The menu was very limited - something like 5-10 dishes only and didn't sound entirely appetizing. When we got the food it was very average and not that satisfying. We were also the only ones there so the atmosphere was a bit strange. Seeing as how it is a loge in the wilderness, they should have made use of the view and put in some windows to get some sunlight in and make the restaurant look a little bit more alive.

A freind of mine stayed here and loved it but beware it is a long way from the actual main Cradle Mountain activities. Better to stay in the thick of things. wE did and were glad after driving pased lemonthyme and seeing how much further it would have been to travel in.
