Owner description: The Seppeltsfield Village is based around the unique and irreplaceable Seppeltsfield fortified wine collection. All our actions aim to meet the guiding principle of "sympathetic development" in harmony with Joseph and Benno Seppelts' original ideas. This means that whatever new activities we undertake at Seppeltsfield, they should respect both tradition and environment.

“Tourist Trap”
Reviewed January 14, 2014

Called in here on a day trip to the valley. Very impressive site with long palm tree approach road and picnic area etc. They have maximised the tourist experience with many souvenirs available, most if not all, made in China. Vey busy when we called and just felt a bit souless. Personally found the tasting nothing special.

“Amazing !!!!!!”
Reviewed January 13, 2014

My husband absolutely loves their port and was not disappointed at all in the winery !! :) It also has a little boutique museum that sells locally made art etc. You can do tastings etc along with matching meals. I loved the history behind this winery and the black and white photos gracing the walls of the family - amazing !!! If you are to go - book in for a tour !! We did not do the tour but wish we had!!!

“Fabulous fortified wines”
Reviewed January 13, 2014

The drive through the palm tree-lined roads as we arrived at the cellar door was simply breathtaking, but not as much as the wines we tasted once we got there.
We didn't have time for a tour of the compound, but it looked nice enough. Instead, we simply enjoyed the hospitality of the staff who were more than happy to serve up various wines for us to try. Seppeltsfield's fortified wines are hands down the best we've tried in the region, and for port lovers, this is one stop not to be missed.

“Best Wine I had”
Reviewed January 8, 2014 via mobile

First i have to say, lot of Australian Wine we have tasted in Margrith River and Barossa Valley is not so good and the people on the wineyards were not so competent and for me, I missed the heartblood for producing Wine most. It's the opposite at Seppeltsfield: white and red wine is from best quality, people have a huge knowhow about winery and are very friendly. We are from Switzerland and have a lot of winerys in our region, but the Seppeltsfield plays in the same league as we do in Swiss, Italy or French!!

“A great place for a picnic with some historical wines to taste”
Reviewed January 8, 2014

The winery is located within a beautiful property, complete with a cafe and picnic grounds. The cellar door is located within a great old building with barrels and a large tasting area. The wines are great with some historical wines on offer as well.
