“Really Glad We Went”
Reviewed May 5, 2013

We were almost not going to go, but really glad we did. It is a small park, but packed with wonderful Australian reptiles. The staff certainly knew their stuff and didn't mind people firing questions at them. The shows were fabulous and educational. Displays and enclosures were wonderfully done and we were able to hold a baby crocodile and a python at no extra charge! There was also a kangaroo enclosure where you could feed the 'roos. Great day out for a reasonable charge.

“What a gem!”
Reviewed February 14, 2013

We had our first visit to Snakes Downunder Reptile Park in late January 2013. With a life-long interest in herpetofauna and as frequent visitors to Queensland, I'm amazed that it's taken us so long to get here!

What a wonderful place - it's not big, but the animals, enclosures and the park staff are all superb. There are several great shows each day which are informative and fun; there are opportunities to hold a snake and a small croc and to take your own photos at no charge; and the demonstration with five deadly snake species was astonishing - I've never seen anyone handling venomous snakes with such consummate skill as Ian Jenkins, the park's owner, displayed.

Great variety of common and not-so-common reptiles to be seen - my favourites were the Boyd's forest dragons, although Ollie, the olive python came a close second.

We will definitely be making this a regular stop whenever we're passing through Childers.

“A truly wonderful place to see some Australian reptiles up close and personal!”
Reviewed December 20, 2012

This is a great place to go if you want to see some Australian reptiles up close. The owner and staff have a wealth of knowledge they are only too happy to share. The park is a small family owned affair and offers a great opportunity for adults and children to learn about these fascinating creatures. I've been taking visitors here for many years and it just gets better!
