I loved being able to handle a croc, a snake and touch different species of lizards. There are also frogs and turtles, and some of the most poisonous snakes in the world. We saw croc feeding time which was very impressive as the big male croc seemed to want to crunch the poor lady too ! You get plenty of interesting information and stories about them during the shows.
There are several shows so you should go in the morning to see them all, it closes around 4 pm.
There is a snack with pies and pizzas, drinks etc and souvenirs.
There's also an enclosure with red and grey kangaroos that you can stroke too, or just watch them resting in the shade (2 mommies with joeys at the moment) !

Thank Marine P

Small reptile park near Childers. $22/adult.
Crocodiles, lizards, kangaroos, frogs, snakes.
Not crowded at all, we went during school holidays and there was only about 20 people there. This made it very personal, everyone could ask questions and see everything very close up.

2 snakes shows are held during the day, plus a croc feeding and there are 2 chances to hold a snake and a baby croc throughout the day. This is included in the admission price and you just use your own camera for photos.

The guides are excellent. The first snake show went for about 40 minutes and was very interesting and lots of different snakes to see. The handler walked the snakes around so that everyone got a good look/photo op.

In the park we were lucky that a guide, who i think was named Cameron, caught up with us and gave us a tour. This was brilliant, he went into the enclosures and found reptiles that were hiding. He bought a few things out for us to touch, including the shingleback lizard which was cool. He had lots of knowledge about all the animals, very informative and interesting.

We werent expecting much but this park was excellent, really interesting, and staff are very friendly.

My only advice-dont bother paying $2 for the kangaroo food. We walked into the enclosure and none of the roos were very interested, in fact most were sitting in the "do not enter" areas. We ended up feeding one old lazy roo that didnt even get up. When we looked around we saw a feeding trough full of the 'kangaroo food' that we'd just paid for lol. So needless to say none of them were overly hungry for more!

Defintily worth a visit, we had a great time and hope to return soon.

The park is a family run enterprise just out of Childers, and we visited just as the off season started so had a non crowded visit, which helped a lot!
The staff are just excellent, or at least they were on our visit; very personable, very well-informed and above all very friendly!
The highlight of the visit for me, anyway, was the live handling of the worlds 5 most venomous snakes which was done by possibly the calmest man I have ever seen; he allowed the snakes to climb his bare arms, all the while engaging with the audience... fabulous stuff! My children were more interested in the salt water croc demo which, as with the snakes, was done whilst keeping a patter going; and that croc was BIG..... and fast!!
The smaller lizards and frogs were well represented with a particularly good walk through vivarium and, for those who wish to indulge in a little retail reptile therapy, there is a small gift/snack shop. There is ample room for picnic lunches inside the park; we spent a day there, and thoroughly enjoyed the experience!

A small family run business that is run very professionally and keeps everyone interested. Although not as big as Australia Zoo, the ideas and shows are on par or even better , as this is smaller and more personal. Everyone is encouraged to ask questions and you get a chance to handle a python and a baby freshwater croc. The croc feeding show was heart pounding with Ian the owner getting so close to Macca the extremely large salty that it had everyone on edge. Very affordable for a full days entertainment. Tip: make sure you get there after opening so you can get the full value of the place
