While located close to the ocean views are very limited for the price that they charge. The unit we stayed in was in need of repair or updating . Parking underneath the building was also a challenge especially as our unit parking spot was a tight turn next to a wall with limited turning space. Has a nice pool , barbecue and tennis area. Overall have stayed in much better units up and down the coast of Queensland for a lot less.

Don' t trust this place, ground floor apartment not clean, air conditioner smelt of mold, had to turn it off and open doors and windows. I went the next day to complain 8.30am, they 1st told me they would try to find alternative accommodation which was nice, that was unsuccessful, so she said we might be able to move to another ground floor, so we waited by 1.30 went back up and was told that they would not move us, I asked if we left would they refund and they said yes, but low and behold they didn't . Very rude won't speak with me. They claim 4star, far from it. Not helpful, go back on what they have said. Oven is an OHS issue, no soap holder in shower, curtains too small, light fittings missing....you get the picture. The position is great what a shame people like that run it.

Room Tip: Ask to see it before you go in. Don't trust what they say

After visiting the Gold Coast, Sunshine Coast and places like Yeppoon etc our family were very happy with Bargara. A tranquil and sleepy area to enjoy. The Bargara Blue Resort was lovely. We stayed on the third floor in a two bedroom unit which was extremely roomy and clean. We were not able to check in within the normal times but our key was placed in a safe for our late arrival that evening without any hassle. Waking up with spectacular views was amazing and enjoying dinners within walking distance an added bonus.

Room Tip: Rooms with a view are an added bonus

We stayed here for 5 nights and enjoyed our stay. The apartment was spacious and suited our needs. We found that the apartment floor was very dirty / dusty but perhaps and the stove blew up on us but besides that we had no problems. It is a secure resort and that a nice pool and spa, however the fitness room was very tiny. The staff were helpful and we had a nice relaxing stay.

Room Tip: Request an Ocean View and higher level.

Having read reviews on-line, some bad but the majority very good, we decided to book this venue for a two night stay. As we had a couple of requests, I decided to ring the property directly. A lovely man named Ken answered the phone and he was most accommodating (pardon the pun) to our requests. I booked directly with Ken over the phone using a visa card.

Upon arrival, everything was as Ken had promised, we had rented a three bed apartment for two nights. The apartment was very spacious and clean. The only thing I would criticise is the fridge which was old and had half of the shelves in the door missing, I understand of course that this is wear and tear from successive occupants. The ocean views were fantastic. My daughter was delighted with the swimming pool. It is a very relaxing place and very quiet, yet within easy walking distance of the main street and beaches.

One major tip (and I shall be reviews on the establishments concerned) is to have your breakfast in your apartment, spend money getting your ingredients together for this. Breakfast costs an absolute fortune at the local restaurants. The facilities offered at Blue Resort for cooking are excellent with a good supply of kitchen/cooking utensils.

Parking is in the basement and it is very easy to access the lifts from there - trollies are provided if needed for your luggage. Parking is very secure.

There is however a major lack of signage in how to get from your apartment to the foyer and the outside world, but this can be easily remedied. I was using the basement until I realised quite accidentally that there was an easier way.

All of the staff were fantastic, we shall be back!

Room Tip: High floor with Ocean view!

On arrival, the manager had a smart attitude which continues throughout the stay. On day of departure, he let himself into the apartment at 10.05am. He opened curtains, checked the fridge, went to my sons room who was getting dressed without consutation. I insisted he stop short of the door. Very rude. He took the keys and pushed them in my face. Luckily I parked outside of the apartments,(the keys are needed to depart the parking area.)
We had parked outside the apartments as the parking area is woeful and difficut to get out of.
The apartments are grimy and rusty. The utensils and cups were dirty. The curtains dirty and short of the windows. The aircon didnt work. The beds hard and pillows flat. Not good value for money.
There are many places to stay in Bargara. This one will never get my recommendation.

My weekend catch-up with family was well catered for with our 3-bedroom apartment. A short walk from Salt restaurant for breakfast and a short drive to our choice for dinner (we probably could have walked but chose not to in the dark). The apartment was clean and open with comfy beds and couches and a close distance to the beach. The heated pool was perfect for an afternoon swim, even though we visited in winter on a beautifully sunny weekend. We had ample parking with a two-bay car space. I'll be planning another visit soon.
