We thought we would give this restaurant another go after the first VERY disappointing visit!
We arrived and the booking was not "listed" BUT that error was very quickly rectified and we were seated at table 13 (my lucky #) - this table CAN seat 4 BUT as were just 2 it was roomy and private (behind the bar). A reminder its BYO ($4.5 pp) and licensed! We ordered the dukkah and dipping sauce and warm sourdough and it was the BEST I have ever had! The entrée was scallops and the other tempura style prawns and dipping sauce. Main was Atlantic salmon and Eye beef fillet both lovely and beautifully presented! The table next to us ordered the ice cream stack with Persian nougat and fairy floss which did look amazing but sadly we had NO room for that!
The wait staff were extremely helpful and courteous.
Outside seating does have heaters and its under cover and as it was a VERY wet night we were pleased to be inside though it was noisy but cosy!

We chose this restaurant for a birthday lunch based on its excellent reviews but were disappointed with the light meal dishes we selected. The special of salt and pepper squid with mango salad was very salty. As the name implies, some saltiness would be expected, however, in this case, far too much salt had been added. The second dish was duck with crispy wontons and vegetables. This dish mainly comprised of three wontons topped with a vegetable mixture similar to coleslaw and a sweet and rather overpowering sauce. A little more duck and a lot less sauce would have been a big improvement. We tried to redeem the situation by ordering desserts to have with our coffee. These were very nice but seemed rather overpriced and we regretted not moving on to the nearby Bonjour Patisserie for their coffee and delicious cakes. Although other people’s dishes looked nice we would hesitate before giving Reel on Redleaf a second try.

Had dinner with friends on a Saturday night recently. Have been coming to this place for many years (including when it was in Roseville) it never changes, always good consistent food. We sat at one of the outside tables, which was a bad decision as the wind came up. so was quite cold, but they are forever ready with blankets for the ladies.
I always have their tempura prawns for entree, hard to beat, large and fresh, with a fine batter. Fish and chips for mains, always good. My wife loves the prawns and pasta dish, also very good. Our friends both had steak and raved about quality and tenderness.
Will be back.

We walked in without a reservation & even though the restaurant was busy, they found us a table straight away. The young waiter was friendly, attentive & a real asset to the business.
The menu was extensive....it was their Wednesday specials night, so we had the normal menu, the Chef's specials & the $40 per head 3 course menu to choose from!
The food was amazing!
We had the tempura prawns & the harissa lamb backstrap & salad.
Beautiful.
Dessert was to die for...we both had the Crème Brulee - AMAZING!!!!
The wine list was extensive & complemented the food beautifully.
Would I return...you bet I would!

For me the test of a good Restaurant is when you study the menu and struggle because there are several items you really would like.
Great menu excellent quality of food and service that seems just right.
Shredded Duck is to die for, Tempura Prawns excellent and Seared Scallops are 3 of our favourite entrees.
Macadamia coated Barramundi, Seafood Pasta and Lamb backstrap are 3 of the best mains.
BYO is OK and the menu changes each season.
If only all local Restaurants could be this good.
