If you find yourself in Orange for lunch or dinner (the latter more upscale than the former, with linen napery and such), don't miss Elmwood at Sparks. Recommended for lunch: the soup and quiche of the day or the always-on-the-menu salmon, which is gently cooked to flaky perfection. If escargots are available for dinner, don't miss out on these meltaway shell-free snails in a gentle bleu cheese sauce. The kitchen's celebratory consistency, quality, and inventiveness are the reasons we consistently recommend Elmwood at Sparks to anyone going to Orange.

Best restaurant in Orange by far. Dinner recently was the among the finest I'v ever had. Even tho it was was steak and mashed potatoes, it was elevated from the norm by the quality and
seasoning. What fine dining should be. Excellent service and food. Very pleased that they serve Virginia wines too.

The B&B made reservations for us and part of our dining was paid for by them due to the package we chose. My husband got the duck which he thought was outstanding & got the filet mignon. Both meals had a gourmet flair and while the food is pricey, if you want food prepared by a creative, knowledgable chef, then this quaint restaurant should be to your liking.

It was my fault for not sending it back, but my pork was way undercooked for a medium to well order. My husband's steak was overcooked for medium rare. Everything else was great. I would go again.
