We stayed at the Inn - which deserves its own review - everything about the stay was wonderful. We had dinner the second night of our stay after a full day of sight seeing and winery tours. I had a fabulous halibut dish and my husband had the filet. Both dishes were superbly prepared. The service was attentive without hovering and the atmosphere romantic. This is a wonderful Inn and we truly enjoyed our visit we plan to return.

As a local, I have had the opportunity to watch Willow Grove being built, its grand opening and follow-on activities. As with any endeavor it had some minor hiccups but faced then quickly and efficiently. It has since matured into a well run restaurant, Inn and events facility. The key was having professionals from the beginning with a vision. Chef Daniels excellent dishes with interesting twists and constant change of menu, Matt and Carlos as general and restaurant managers respectively along with a competent staff such as Lisa in the pub always make my visits enjoyable. Of note also is Carlos’s vast knowledge of wines acting as sommelier. I lived in Europe for over 23 years and ate my way through many countries from bistros to many “red forks & knives” restaurants to the majority of one-three star Michelin restaurants. The Inn at Willow Grove is one to keep your eye on. It just keeps getting better and better. One final note is they give back to the local community by sponsoring a monthly function where they donate part of the monies to a worthy cause.

Thank you for posting such a thoughtful review. As with any small business, we experienced our fair share of bumps in the road in our early days as a luxury destination. However, as you suggested, it was with the strong leadership of our management team and a heart-felt commitment to our guest experience that we overcame those early challenges and hit our stride. We have indeed matured in our three short years of operation! That said, we’re also constantly working to improve our performance. It is through the thoughtful - and most importantly - constructive feedback of guests like you that we keep getting better. Thank you for helping us grow.

As a quick side-note, we really appreciate your coming in to apologize for Donald’s review. It meant a lot to us.

Nestled in the hills of western Virginia near Orange, this inn has several cottages and rooms in the main building that are all very unique in design and accommodation that will satisfy the most discerning guest's needs desires. Beautifully landscaped grounds. Great staff and service that offer morning delivered coffee, tea, juice and pastries. There are also full breakfasts available at the main building or room service. There is an on premise restaurant that is out of this world. A real treat for couples, friends and family.

Amy, our server, made us comfortable and did a great job taking care of us. Amy is first class! I had the duck and Bonnie had the salmon. Both were very good. The ambiance of the restaurant is superb, and we recommend a visit to this beautiful part of the country for a delicious meal.

My husband and I had already enjoyed a large lunch at a nearby vineyard so the pub option was perfect. We sat and had great cocktails and split the mac and cheese, asparagus soup, and a cheese tray. The football game was on, the couches comfortable, the service attentive and we ran into a couple we went to college with that we hadn't seen in many years. It is a very small world and Vintage was a great place to do it!
