My 9 year old son and I enjoyed our visit to Featherdale. The park is very easy to explore and the size makes it easy to get around. There are a large number of animals at the park - koalas, kangaroos, birds, reptiles ,something to interest everyone. The information signs next to each animal had interesting facts and we learnt a lot. We got to the park at 11 and left at 1 and there were no talks/ presentations on during these times. Featherdale would be a great place to take visitors from overseas as they would love meeting the Australian wildlife.

Featherdale is such a lovely place - we only had a few hours there as we were on a tour - Its not too crowded and the kangaroos and wallbys just wander a round and don't worry about the tourists - as long as you feed them.

You can have your photo taken with a Koala but can take the photo yourself. It was clean and well looked after and the animals were all indigenous to Australia.

Featherdale features the wildlife that are indigenous to Australia. So if you're looking for a wider variety of animals seen across the world like lions, tigers, etc... then you should visit another zoo like Taronga Zoo. For us we enjoyed taking pictures right next to the koalas and being able to feed the baby kangaroos. Other than that you will mostly see a lot of birds, including some birds of prey.

Overall a nice park to visit.

Featherdale wildlife park is more for tourists then local families. The kangaroo's do not move around much but can be touched and fed so good for tourists and holding a koala can be exciting but the other attractions are a bit boring.
