“REALLY RECOMMEND”

Beautiful place on the highest point of the Mohawk trail, which I can really recommend. Stunning view from our room. The owner 'Jim', who was very friendly and helpful, tried to do anything to make you feel comfortable during your stay. The rooms were spaceous and clean. The location of the motel was good to explore the beautiful area. I'm sure we'll go back to this place.
Another recommendation, go to restaurant 'The Golden Eagle' for dinner. Which is 5 min by car from the motel.

We have stayed twice at Whitcomb, and both times we were impressed with the service. The view is fantastic, best one around :) The rooms are very basic but clean and comfortable. The owner let us have a fire in the outdoor pit, which was a great hotel perk for us! We go to Berkshire East ziplining, and although it is a little farther away compared to other hotels, the ride is beautiful and the view and service are worth it.

Our check-in went very smoothly - we were made to feel welcome and appreciated right from the start! The room was very clean, and had windows that opened up so we could bring in the fresh mountain air! The amenities were a bit bare-boned (no hairdryer, microwave or fridge) but the views are so amazingly beautiful - we were quite happy! There is a nice balcony on the 2nd floor to sit and take in the scenery. Picnic tables and a BBQ grill are available and there were food and drink items available in the office. Don't hesitate to stay here!!! Well worth it and great customer service! Friendly staff and that is worth it's weight in gold when you are traveling.

Room Tip: Bring a hair dryer, and a cooler to keep stuff cold in the room.

The room was clean, spacious, and comfortable. The Inn Keeper Jim was so nice and helpful. I will always stay there while visiting my family. Jim was very accommodating to our children also. Very nice touch!

Room Tip: Room 2 was wonderful!

the retreat is clean, the staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. especially the owner, jim pedro. there is so much to do in the area from inner tubing, to zip lining, to dining, and a lot more. the views from the property are spectacular, as it sits on the top of the second highest peak in the state. i highly recommend this property to all who love the outdoors.

Room Tip: ask for one of the corner rooms away from the main road

This place is fantastic! So accommodating...A home away from home! If you need anything at all just ask the owner and he'll be sure to get it for you pronto. Be sure to get up early to see the mountain view in the morning. It will take your breath away.

We recently met family for a weekend zip-lining adventure and were not familiar with the area. We normally would have stayed at a chain but everything was booked. It turned out to be fortuitous as we completely enjoyed our stay and will definitely return. Jim, the owner couldn't have been more accommodating or helpful. He has a vision to improve the property and has made great headway. The rooms are a bit outdated but large and impeccably clean. The beds and linens were high quality and we enjoyed a restful night's sleep. There were picnic tables outside and the weather cooperated so we could enjoy the panorama of the mountains. The restaurant is not open yet but there is a restaurant close by or you can drive to local towns. We will definitely return, lots to do and a comfortable place to stay.
