Description: On the water's edge on Kaanapali Beach, Hula Grill offers a stunning view of the Pacific and of the islands of Lanai and Molokai that has to be seen to be believed. From this distinctly Hawaiian vantage point, you are invited to join us as we celebrate the hospitality, culture and cuisine of the islands. Dinner is served in our open-air dining room where you can relax in the ambiance of a plantation era beach house while enjoying renown chef Peter Merriman's Hawaii regional seafood that isn't only a favorite of vacationers, but locals, too. Hawaiian fresh fish and locally grown produce are combined to create amazing menu offerings that are as colorful as they are flavorful. Fiery sunsets are served up daily along with live Hawaiian entertainment. Our Barefoot Bar offers a more casual menu serving both lunch and dinner under authentic thatch roof umbrellas and a sand floor where you can sink your toes in. The Barefoot Bar is seated on a walk-in basis only.

You can't beat the location. It's right on the beach as advertised. My partner wanted a burger and I wanted fish. This restaurant has three sections. A section just for burgers, a section for burgers and more expensive items, and last but not least a menu with more expensive items like steaks and fish. there was a very very long wait for the section that served everything. And in the expensive section they would not serve my partner a burger. Confusing and frustrating. But there we were. We ended up in the more expensive section. She had steak and I had fish. My marlin just about made up for the confusion and frustration when we first walked in. Our server was wonderful, very informative and attentive. We could hear the crashing of the waves, and enjoyed their live music. My only complaint was that my partner couldn't get her burger!

A charming barefoot beach bar. A firm favourite, its a casual spot with the sand between your toes. Hang by the bar at happy hour where the cocktails are only US$5 and grab a pizza and some pupus (small plates) when you are feeling peckish. The crab and macadamia nut wontons are delicious, and the best pizza on the menu is the Thai chicken pizza believe it or not!

Very good choice of fish. This is in the Whaler's village shopping center, and remains crowded all the time. Service was very good, and we enjoyed the Hawaiian music.

For the past six years this has been our favorite place to eat on West Maui, to the tune of 3 ton3 times a week.

This year we were shocked by the significant price increases combined with smaller portions.

The view is still great, and we still like the food, we just are disappointed by the changes.
