Description: On the water's edge on Kaanapali Beach, Hula Grill offers a stunning view of the Pacific and of the islands of Lanai and Molokai that has to be seen to be believed. From this distinctly Hawaiian vantage point, you are invited to join us as we celebrate the hospitality, culture and cuisine of the islands. Dinner is served in our open-air dining room where you can relax in the ambiance of a plantation era beach house while enjoying renown chef Peter Merriman's Hawaii regional seafood that isn't only a favorite of vacationers, but locals, too. Hawaiian fresh fish and locally grown produce are combined to create amazing menu offerings that are as colorful as they are flavorful. Fiery sunsets are served up daily along with live Hawaiian entertainment. Our Barefoot Bar offers a more casual menu serving both lunch and dinner under authentic thatch roof umbrellas and a sand floor where you can sink your toes in. The Barefoot Bar is seated on a walk-in basis only.

My girlfriend and I really enjoyed the food here. We both had fish dishes..delicious. She had a tandoori style fish and I had a seared Ahi tuna..yum yum. We were satisfied from the bread, served with that delicious sauce, all the way to our baked hawaiian desert. Michelle, our server was busy yet still so engaging and attentive. Yes, we had a mai thai too..loved it!

Best of the three restaurants in the Whalers Village, for sure. We ate there twice, once in the dining room and once in the barefoot bar area. Both spots the food was great with the view to match. It's a long wait, so make sure you get there early or make reservations. I recommend any fish or pork!

We ate here with family from Australia, we had been traveling all day and were starving. We arrived around 530 and were able to be seated right away but as it got later the place was really busy so I suggest a reservation. The food was great, I ordered the steak and it is very tasty, the shrimp cake was very good. The waitstaff was very friendly and helpful, our waiter was a wealth of information on the area. But the best of all...you cannot beat the scenery. The sunset is amazing from the resturant. Sun sets around 710 if you want to view from this area. Drinks are very good also.

Wonderful fish tacos and ceviche. Food is consistently good. Live music but places to sit and still talk. Wonderful beach and ocean view. Love the tiki torches and Hawaiian ambiance.

We ate at Hula Grill twice during our trip to Maui. It was wonderful both times. Highly recommend the macadamia encrusted fish of the day and the pineapple upsidedown cake. Beautiful view of the ocean. Unless you are going very early or late, it's a good idea to make reservations a day or two ahead.
