We visited Etude for the first time last week and tasted their wines... so glad we did!
Of the 4 wineries that we visited this time in Napa, Etude was our favorite as far as wines go. The small, rustic French inspired winery was a nice respite from the larger wineries, as well!
The tasting room staff was very friendly and spent considerable time with us and the other guests, happy to offer insight and listen to our input.
I particularly enjoyed their whites which are dry, crisp and grassy (thanks to the steel barreling that the vintner utilizes).
The interior of the tasting room was va-va-voom! Spectacular modern-meets-traditional atmosphere that is a breath of fresh air in an area that seems to favor over-the-top-kitschy-Old-World architecture.

Wife and I had the 2 for 1 and overall it was ok winery. friendly staff. Wine was ok, their reserves are better. Couple from NJ bought some pinot so must have been pretty good.

Stumbled onto this wine at dinner at Bottega. Ordered their Rose for dinner and were completely in love with it. We hunted down the winery the next day and it was worth it. Its on the way to Sonoma in Canaros region and the Rose was just as amazing as it was the night before, and the pinots were to die for. They have a limited addition Brandy and they let us smell it...just couldn't pull the trigger on it at $150. We shared a tasting and our server was very friendly, knowledgeable and generous in her additional tastings that she added to our 'basic' tasting. Very happy we found this and bought some wine to bring home!!

My partner and I visited Etude in conjunction with a private wine tour I did while exploring Napa Valley. I'm so glad our driver insisted on visiting this winery. When we arrived (3rd winery of the day), we decided to only taste 3 of their Pinot Noirs, (1) in order to pace ourselves and (2) so we could really get a taste of the quality of their wine. However the problem was after tasting these wines, we were so hooked, so had to try more. So after 8 tastings we decided enough was enough, otherwise we wouldn't make it to the other wineries our driver had planned to visit.

It took us at least 20 mins to make a decision on what to buy. However we ended up buying 4 bottles to bring home to Australia.

If you're a white wine drinker, you must taste their 2011 Pinot Noir Rose
If you're a red wine drinker, you must taste their 2008 Pinot Noir Deer Camp Estate

After visiting 10 other wineries during our 3-day stay in the Napa area, this is the #1 winery we visited, the only winery I vividly remember and enjoying and the only one I gave time to review on TripAdvisor.

This winery is related to St. Clement where are friends are members so we stopped on our way to Napa. The place is beautiful. The wine is wonderful. I especially liked the pinots. Jean was one of the friendly people who served us and told us about the wines and the winery.

They have two tasting options, one for $15 and one for $25. We had a little of both.
